We collect as little as we can, use it only to run this site, answer you and send the emails you ask for, and never sell it.
Who we are
This website, jesslindesigns.com, is operated by Jess Lin Designs LLC, a design studio based in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California, USA (“Jess Lin Designs,” “we,” “us,” “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit the site, contact us, or download our Clocked app, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have.

Information we collect
Information you give us
- When you contact us by email: your name, email address and anything you choose to include in your message.
- When you download Clocked: your email address, your first name if you provide it, and your agreement to receive emails about Clocked.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device information through Microsoft Clarity: pages viewed, clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, time on page, the website that referred you, browser and device type, screen size, operating system and approximate location (country or region). Clarity creates heatmaps and session replays that show how visitors use the site. Text typed into our forms is masked and is not captured in replays.
- Technical and security information processed by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of each request, used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Cookies and browser storage, described in the Cookies section below.
We do not ask for, and ask that you do not send us, sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, financial account details or health information.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiries and provide our design services.
- To deliver the Clocked download and send emails about Clocked, such as install tips and occasional updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To understand how visitors use the site so we can improve its design, content and performance.
- To keep the site secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix errors.
- To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.
Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we process personal information on these legal bases:
- Consent, for marketing emails and, where required, for analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Contract, to respond to requests you make and to provide services you ask for.
- Legitimate interests, to operate, secure and improve the site, as long as those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation, where we must keep or disclose information by law.
The Clocked app
Clocked runs entirely on your Mac. The time, app, window and browser information it records stays in a folder on your computer and is never sent to us or anyone else. The only information we receive in connection with Clocked is what you enter in the download form on this site.
International transfers
We are based in the United States and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal information from the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the providers’ participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep information
- Email list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information.
- Correspondence: as long as needed to respond and for our ordinary business and legal records.
- Analytics: according to Microsoft Clarity’s retention schedule, after which it is deleted or aggregated.
- Security logs: according to Cloudflare’s retention schedule.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to us.
- Opt out of analytics by blocking cookies in your browser or using a privacy extension.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California and other U.S. states with privacy laws may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

This site links to other websites, such as Instagram and client sites. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make material changes, we will update this page and, where appropriate, notify you.
